How To Create: Stamped Gerbera Boarder

Hi Everyone
We have been playing with the new Gerbera clear stamps – this time we are going to show you how to create this lovely stamped/heat embossed floral boarder. Below we will give you a step by step guide and also the materials you’ll need to get started.

Materials Needed:

* Twinkle Lane Designs – Daisy Posy Clear Stamp Set
* Watercolour Card
*Clear Embossing Ink Pad
* Wow Ebony Embossing Powder
* Heat Gun
* Watercolour Paints / Pencils
* Paper cutter / Scissors / Craft Knife
* Scrap Paper

Step By Step guide:

Step 1: on a scrap piece of paper stamp the daisy posy – cut around the flower heads & then cut the stems out, so they are two separate pieces. This will make two masks you’ll need when stamping.

Step 2: wipe clean your stamp. Ink up the flower head with your embossing ink pad & mask off the stems – mine naturally stayed onto the stamp. Stamp onto the watercolour paper – sprinkle your embossing powder over & heat.

Step 3: take your flower head mask & mask the image you’ve just stamped & repeat the process twice more. Tip you may need a little low tack tape to keep your mask in place.

Step 4: Once you’ve finished stamping – you flower boarder should look like this. (You may notice I’ve added in a few stamped leaves on either side – this is a optional). Now it’s time to start watercolouring the flowers – you can do any colour combo you like.

Step 5: We’ve given you two options – you could take a paper cutter & cut into a rectangle – leaving a nice boarder around the edge.

Step 6: or if want to take the background out – use scissor to cut around the outside edges & with a craft knife cut the small pieces out between the flowers.

Now your ready to create a card with this finished piece

Anemone Flowers

We hope you are all doing well & keeping yourself busy crafting through this time.
We are back with a brand new design – which we hope you’ll love.
Anemone flowers are a favourite among many gardeners – these pretty flowers have open cup-shaped flower heads & they come in a small selection of colours.
For our new digi stamp design we have hand drawn the flower bouquet in a half circle – then added two separate flower heads to the A5 page so you can layer them on-top of the main floral digi stamp.

Card Samples

Mowbray designs has created this beautiful lacy effect shaped card – to showcase the new anemone digi stamp. Using a colour palette of white, purple & lilac – this is a real eye catcher. Using lace dies for detail & simple matt and layering in the centre & then adding the flower digi in the middle. Finishing off with a die cut sentiment and pearl gems.

For our card sample we’ve used an A5 card for the base. Printed off two sets of the anemone digi stamp – shading them in with promakers and pencils for shading. Then we’ve used one of the floral circles digital papers from our shop (https://etsy.me/3cu9mgD) – glittered around the edge & matted it onto a contrasting mirror card. To create the centre part – I’ve layered different sized & coloured ovals – embossing the silver mirror layer to give a little texture. Once I’d stamp the sentiment with wow embossing powder – I place the anemone digi stamp around the edge for the the ovals and finished the card with gems.

Promarker colours used; Cerise, Berry Red, Cool Grey 1 & Violet
