New Releases: Picture This…

Hi Everyone
So I’ve been taking a little time to get some new release to you – but they are finally here.
Not only has it been a busy time at the place I work during the week, I’ve also just adopted a Cockapoo – which believe me he’s kept me very busy – but is now starting to settle in lovely.

Now on to the new release – it’s all about photography!
Camera Girl Digi Stamp – This is a set of two digi stamp – you get the young girl with a skyline background & one without – so you can use you favourite one – I really liked the one with the skyline.
Vintage Camera Digi Stamp – Lovely vintage style camera, with a film reel wrapped around. This would be great to use on anyone’s card who love photography!

Picture This…Paper Pack – A fun pack of six papers with three different designs. Some feature colour retro camera, camera outlines & a wording papering – which lots of photography phrases.

Design Team; Card Samples

Our design team have made some fabulous card samples using the Camera Girl Digi Stamp & the Picture This Paper Pack.

Mowbray Designs has created this cute feminine card – with a pink themed colour palette. Layering the wording & the pink outline camera papers onto silver mirror card. After shading ‘Camera Girl’ in pink and peach shaded & then cut with a die. She’s been mounted onto a decorative die cut shape. Finished off with die cut flowers, pearls and a die cut ‘Smile’ sentiment

Julianne has made this gorgoues card – which makes me think ‘Camera Girl’ is taking pictures of the stars. For the background she used the following distress oxide inks: broken China, faded jeans, chipped sapphire and black soot. The die is from the Waffle Flower stitched dies. Finishing off with silver sequins & the sentiment which you get on the digi stamp sheet.

Helen has made this bold card which really catches your eye. Matt and layering the photography sentiment paper on black & pink card. She then shaded the ‘Camera Girl’ digi stamp in pink and blue. Finishing off with card candi in the corners.

Mini Picture Frames – we are also have some mini photo digi stamps – these would be great to draw pictures into or even if your tech savy – resize some photographs, cut out the picture boxes and stick these photo frames over the top & pop them on a card or in a scrapbook. Great way to personalize items.

How To Create A Penguin Tunnel Card

We’ve been making another card with our cute Ice Skating Penguins. We will show you a step by step guide on how to create your own. There’s also a quick youtube colouring tutorial on how to shade our penguin digi.

For this card we have used just the lady penguin. This is a tunnel style card – instead of building the layers up on the card base – you build them on the inside – creating a tunnel.

Watch our how to shade the penguin digi in this youtube video;

STEP BY STEP; Guide to assembling the card

Step 1: With your pre-scored 8×8 blank card – measure 1cm either side of the centre score line & then make your own score lines along your marked line.
Step 2: You will now have a valley fold
Step 3: Select the papers/card & nesting dies. We’ve used circle nesting die in 4 gradient sizes.
Step 4: Matt & layer your chosen card stock to the main card – take the second largest circle & place in the center of the card front & die cut out all layers.
Step 5: Cut the different layers of card stock using the nest circles. Make sure each circle is large enough to matt the small layer onto. Remember you building the layers in-wards, instead of out.
Step 6: Use foam pads to stick all inner layers together. I’ve added small ice skates (available from our Free Digi Sheet) around the outer frame along with die cut snowflakes.
Step 7: Shade in your digi stamp – see youtube tutorial for tips.
Step 8: Finish off with adhesive gems. You will have a lovely tunnel style Christmas card.

Here you can see all the build up of layers. I love the colour palette of teals and lilacs.
You can get the mini individual ice skates from the FREEBIES section on the site – see the competition page on how to access.
