Hi Everyone I’m back with another idea with how to use our range of clear stamps – normally we would focus on cardmaking but we’ve been trying something a little different. I just to keep a dairy as a young girl & then as a teen had a small filofax & a few years ago tried to set up a bullet journal (only I didn’t get very far). I don’t know about you but even thought it’s not something you share with anyone – I always get stuck what to write or do in it, so I overthink it & end up not doing anything at all. So after a little research into bullet journals – you can do whatever you like – make it creative & fun.
I’ve decided 2021 is going to be the year I’ll create a fab journal/bullet journal. My dad bought me this lovely journal for Christmas last year & I’ve wrote in it once – so by creating beautiful pages I’m hoping this will motivate me to journal!
Getting Started; Monthly front pages
I’ve decided to pick a month which will co-ordinate well with my sunflowers
Step 1: I’m not great with calligraphy style writing – I chose a nice font & printed a sheet off so I could trace the wording. Deciding on how I wanted to use the Sunflower stamp – I penciled in guide lines – inked up the stamp & masked off the section I didn’t want stamped.
Step 2: Using promakers I’ve shaded in the Sunflowers
Step 3: To make the colours pop I’ve gone back in with coloured pencils to add shading. Once I was happy with the flowers – I inked in the lines under the stamped sunflowers. Then moved onto the wording ‘September’ I was going to heat emboss the wording but then decided on doing the wording in ombre style – choose three tones of the same colour & colour the wording from dark to light. Finishing the wording off by going round each letter with a fine liner.
I’ve finished off the page by heat embossing dots around the page to fill in some of the white space – with a gold metallic embossing powder. I think it gives it move a luxe look.
I like things to co-ordinate – to finish off the back of the monthly page, I’ve backed it with papers from our Sunny Sunflower Digital Paper Pack. Making a little pocket to store items I may need for that month – I’ve even stamped some tags which I could use to place on Birthday gifts or use to write on & stick in the journal. To liven up the writing paper with came in the journal I’ve stamped the sunflowers into the corners of the pages for that month.

Hello Everyone We are back today welcoming Autumn in by giving you a step by step tutorial on how to shade the coat on our Autumn Girl Digi Stamp. We first released this digi in 2016 – the thing I love about her is the movement I’ve tried to capture – with the wind blowing her coat and hair. The leaves also swirling in the background.
You could cut around autumn girl or die cut her – this way you get her with or without the leafy background.
Since we are colouring ‘Autumn Girl’ Digi I thought I’d go for an autumn colour palette. To choose my colours I often hop on over to pinterest & find a nice colour palette on there. Just like this one which inspired the colours I have used;

Today I have two cards to share with you. Our Design Team Members have been creating some festive cards – using the new ‘Playful Penguins’ Digi Stamp and ‘Christmas Trees’ Digital Papers now available in Twinkle Lane Design Etsy Shop. Giving you a little inspiration when you create your own cardmaking projects.
The first card we are sharing is from Helen – who has chosen a white & red colour palette for her creation. Matting ‘Christmas Trees’ Digital Paper on-to a square card & wrapping a textured twine around the center. ‘Playful Penguins’ has been die cute using a pierced circle, matted onto red die cut circle & both have been layered onto white scalloped die cut card stock. Finished off with card candi & a sentiment.
Mowbray Designs has chosen a blue and silver colour palette for her Playful Penguins card. Matting one of the new papers and the digi stamp on silver mirror card stock along with one of the sentiments from the digi sheet. She has also included some silver die cute Christmas Trees. Finished off with blue pearl drops.
