Last week we released a beautiful ‘Sunflower Bouquet’ Digi Stamp & Paper Pack (see part1 for more info) this week we are bringing you more lovely sunflowers goodies & even a freebie – to cheer up your day. I know different people like different things from our stamps – so I designed a Sunflower just on its own – perfect to fussy cut or die cut to make stunning cards for any occasion. Don’t forget it’s Mothering Sunday here in the UK tomorrow – so this stamp would be perfect if you need something for a last minute project. At the moment I think we all need a little something to brighten up our days!
Card Projects – to inspire those crafty projects
Mowbray Designs has kept her card bright and bold using Green, White and Gold as her three main colours for this card. She has used two of the Sunny Sunflower Papers – breaking the checked pattern up with a centre strip of stripe sunflowers. Die cutting the digi stamp and sentiment and finishing off with pearls and a organza bow. Simply a lovely card.
Helen has guest designed for us this time – creating this beautiful card. The shaded digi is really the central focal point on the card – using two of the bold pattern papers from our Sunny Sunflower paper pack, to create a half and half card & satin ribbon across the centre. Helen has also gone for a simple colour palette of Black, Yellow and Green. Finishing off with card candi and a sentiment.
For the card I created with the ‘Single Sunflower’ Digi Stamp – I wanted to keep it fairly simple – bold and fresh was the look I was going for – with a limited colour palette. I started with die cutting the edge of my A5 with a decorative die. Down the opposite side I’ve used one of the papers from our Sunny Sunflowers Paper Pack, place a matching piece of green card down the edge & then embossed out die cut piece of white card with a Sue Wilson embossing folder. Shading the Digi in with pro-markers and coloured pencils – die cut this & layered it with a plain piece of yellow card. Finished off with a sentiment & gems.

Who doesn’t love Sunflowers? They are bold, bright and remind us of warm summer days. Sunflowers were requested by one of our customers some time ago & sometimes we need to feel in the mood to draw certain items & now felt the time was right to create some beautiful new digi’s & papers with these gorgeous flowers. The reason for Part 1 of the above title is we have a few more sunflower products to come over the next week – so look our for more updates.
Here are the first two sunflower releases;
Mowbray Designs has made this beautiful fresh looking card. Using two of the papers from the ‘Sunny Sunflowers’ Paper Pack for the main background the stripe sunflowers & then a blue check for a centre strip. She’s die cut her shaded Sunflower Bouquet digi stamp & placed into the middle of the card. Finishing off with a bow & some sparkly gems.
For our card we’ve gone bold and bright – making a pretty Mother’s Day card. We’ve gone for a yellow/gold/blue colour palette. We’ve used the bold blue polka dot sunflower paper from the paper pack , layered it onto gold mirror card & them layered a yellow piece of polka dot embossed card on top. Die cut a fancy shape for a the centre & mounted our shaded Sunflower Bouquet digi into the middle. We’ve added sparkle with glitter card, glitter and gems.

For this card – the first one I’ve made in 2020 – I’ve used the donut digi and free digital paper to create a card for my Dads Birthday. Rounding the corners of the papers & glued metallic gems into the corners. I’ve cut out a thin frame in kraft card & embossed it with a circle embossing folder – placed the donut digi in the center and put some glittery dots around in the white space. I’ve finished the card off with some small donuts (which will be available soon in a new kit) and two sentiment banners.

Design Team; Card Samples
Our design team have made some fabulous card samples using the Camera Girl Digi Stamp & the Picture This Paper Pack.
Mowbray Designs has created this cute feminine card – with a pink themed colour palette. Layering the wording & the pink outline camera papers onto silver mirror card. After shading ‘Camera Girl’ in pink and peach shaded & then cut with a die. She’s been mounted onto a decorative die cut shape. Finished off with die cut flowers, pearls and a die cut ‘Smile’ sentiment
Julianne has made this gorgoues card – which makes me think ‘Camera Girl’ is taking pictures of the stars. For the background she used the following distress oxide inks: broken China, faded jeans, chipped sapphire and black soot. The die is from the Waffle Flower stitched dies. Finishing off with silver sequins & the sentiment which you get on the digi stamp sheet.
Helen has made this bold card which really catches your eye. Matt and layering the photography sentiment paper on black & pink card. She then shaded the ‘Camera Girl’ digi stamp in pink and blue. Finishing off with card candi in the corners.
Mini Picture Frames – we are also have some mini photo digi stamps – these would be great to draw pictures into or even if your tech savy – resize some photographs, cut out the picture boxes and stick these photo frames over the top & pop them on a card or in a scrapbook. Great way to personalize items.
For our latest Dig Stamp release we are going back in time to the 18th Century. Meet Miss Elizabeth – an elegant young lady dressed in her finest clothing. This is the second digi stamp in our historical fashion range. Below we will show you three different colour ways & where we found our inspiration for each one.
To start we’ve cut a piece of silver square mirror card & matted on of our ‘Elegant Petals’ digital papers onto it. Using a piece of white card we’ve die cut a fancy frame with a Sue Wilson corner die & then matted a square piece of blue card into the center. The Digi Stamp has been die cut with a tonic studio die & placed into the center of the card. We’ve then finished off with two white feathers, a double ribbon, die cut sentiment and lots of pearls and gems.
Shading with Promarkers – Colour Charts
If your part of our facebook group we did a poll showing you the three different colour way we shaded our 18th Century lady & the blue version was the one which received the most votes – so she was the one I picked to make my sample card with. Below I’ve made some charts so you can shade along with us – listing the promarker colours used.
The second favourite in our poll was the lilac/purple lady with blonde hair.
We always head to pinterest to find inspiration for colour palettes before I start shading a digi stamp – here is some of the pictures which inspired the colours for our 18th Century Lady
If you haven’t had chance to take a look at the card creations from our design team using this weeks new release ‘Snow Penguin’ Digi Stamp – we have it all here. Inspiration including some of the products used for this weeks makes.
Julianne has used die cut white glitter paper to create a snowy scene, making it look like ‘Snow Penguin’ is running through thick snow. Distress Oxide inks have been used on the background. She has added in the Christmas die from Pretty Pink Posh in some blue glitter cardstock. Finishing off with gems to create a snowfall effect.
Helen has created a wonderful A5 black and white themed card. Matting the matching snow penguin digital paper onto black card. Shading in the digi stamp & matted & layered it onto another piece of black card stock. Finished off with adhesive gems and a sentiment.
Mowbray Designs has made this lovely tall middle stepper card. Using the lilac snowflake paper from the ‘Christmas Penguins’ Paper Pack. The digi stamp has been shaded in with alcohol markers & glitter used to make the snow scene sparkle – then die cut with an oval shape. Holographic card used behind the digi and the sentiment. Today we have another two new releases and we are going to showing you how to create this fun card using frames, stamping and heat embossing. We also have another quick colouring video with hints and tips of how to shade this lovely new digi.
We’ve used a blue and white colour palette for this card. Snow is the one thing I think we all wish for at Christmas time – only it’s a very rare occasion we have a white Christmas here in England – so alot of my card creation features snowflakes/snowfall, to me it’s a symbol of the festive season. The backing paper we’ve used is from our ‘Christmas Penguins‘ Paper Pack
My favourite thing about this digi stamp is the fun the season which is captures – kids love to get out on their sledges when there’s fresh snow fall & you can just see the joy on the little penguins face – very cute!
Let’s get creating…
Step By Step; Creating your framed card
Step 1; Take a black 8×8″ card we’ve then used a ‘Stamps By Chloes’ snowflake board stamp, VersaMark embossing ink pad & Wow Embossing Powder ‘Glacier’. Stamp round each edge of the card (have a spare piece of paper to shake the embossing powder onto) Then use your heat glue to seal the stamped image. Step 2; Print and shade your digi stamp in – see youtube for colouring tips. Step 3; Cut your matt and layers with square nesting dies – also cut a frame. Step 4; To create snowfall in the background of the digi, place small glue dots around the image & shake glitter over the top – this will need to left to dry. Make sure your glue is dries clear. Step 5; Stick pattern paper, & your matt and layer digi to the card – i’ve put the digi on at an angle. & place foam pads around the inside edge of your frame & stick Step 6; finish your card off with a sentiment, die cut snowflakes and adhesive gems
Need help shading – watch this speed colouring video;
